Our mission at AquaShield is to continue a research platform aimed at reducing the risk of shark attack by the ongoing exploration of field effects on the electroreception capabilities of sharks. Scientists around the globe have studied these field effects in an effort to decrease the risk of shark attack and injury. We advise you the consumer to educate yourself on the many areas of deterrent and repellant research so you can make an educated decision as to the inherent risks associated with sharks and how to decrease the risk of injury. There are several companies exploring the deterrent market as the report of shark encounters is on the rise. All of these deterrents have had different degrees of reported success in changing the pattern and behavior in these beautiful animals but gauging the overall success and calculating any specific degree of this success is difficult at best due to the ever changing parameters and conditions encountered. Because of our belief in this technology we filed a provisional patent in regards to the technology October of 2009 and then in October of 2010 we brought this to a subsequent Utility patent (# US 61/255,150). We will continue to monitor all manufacturing and sales of related technologies in order to protect our future plans associated with the AquaShield technologies.
